On November 1st Parlophone released "Ultimate Pet Shop Boys", a "comprehensive greatest hits collection", featuring 19 hit singles in chronological order from "West End girls" to "Love etc." and concludes with a new song, "Together", written and recorded on September 2010. The Special Edition version feature a DVD containing a series of classic BBC TV performances from "Top Of The Pops" and other shows recorded over the last 25 years as well as Pet Shop Boys' celebrated Glastonbury Saturday night headline show from June.
"Together", was released by Parlophone on November 29th on two CDs and digital download. As well as "Together" the track-listings included:
  • Glad all over - a version of the early 60s hit by The Dave Clark Five which Pet Shop Boys performed in Chris's home town of Blackpool summer 2010. The song has become a victory anthem for Blackpool FC which rose to the Premier League this year. This new studio version was arranged and produced by Pet Shop Boys and Tim Powell.
  • I cried for us - Neil sang this song by the late Kate McGarrigle, mother of Rufus Wainwright, at her memorial concert at the Royal Festival Hall in London in June in an arrangement by Pet Shop Boys. Chris and Neil produced this studio version which was mixed by Pete Gleadall.
  • Together (extended version) - remixed by Tim Powell. Another dance remixes of "Together" were also available.
